Light/Noise

TermDefinition
Light Pollution Poor use of, excessive, or unwanted artificial light
Magnitude Measurement of brightness. The lower it is, the brighter the light.
Glare Excessive brightness, can cause irritation
Skyglow Brightness in the night sky caused by cluster of light
Light Trespass Light going to unexpected and unwanted locations
Circadian Rhythm Natural, bodily, and often 24 hour cycle. Examples are sleep/wake, feeding, migration, etc.
Noise Pollution Unwanted and/or loud sounds
Decibel (dB) Measurement of sound. The higher it is, the louder the sound.
