Chapter 26 Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Citrus Fruit A fruit that has a thick rind and juicy pulp.
Acid A chemical that tastes sour.
Pome Like an apple or pear, has a core with seeds and grows on trees.
Drupe Like a peach or a cherry, has a large pit and grows on trees.
Ripe Fruit is fully matured and is generally flavorful, colorful, and firm but not hard.
Fruit Nectar A thick, sugar-sweetened beverage of fruit juice and pulp, which contains fiber.
Cider A beverage made by pressing juice from fruit.
Fruit Juice Concentrate Juice with most of the water removed.
