Epiphysis Enlarged ends of bone (spongy bone covered by thin layer of compact bone and covered by cartilage)
Epiphyseal Disc Band of hyaline cartilage at each end of bone (longitudinal growth)
Articular Cartilage Outer surface of epiphysis (smooth, shiny surface, decreases friction at joint)
