| Cell | The basic unit of structure and function that makes up all organisms. |
| Cell Membrane | An organelle composed of fat and protein that regulates the transport of materials into and out of the cell |
| Cell organelle | A specialized structure within a cell |
| Chloroplast | The organelle within a cell that captures light energy to make food for a plant |
| Compound light microscope | A tool that is used to magnify an object using multiple lenses and a light source |
| Cytoplasm | The jelly-like substance that hold the other cell organelles and is the site of many chemical reactions |
| Diffusion | The natural movement of molecules from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration |
| Excretion | A life process that involves the removal of metabolic wastes from the body/cell |
| Field of View | The area that can be observed when looking though a microscope |
