Digestive System

saliva the liquid inside our mouth, sometimes called "spit"
salivary glands glands that produce saliva
tongue the muscle that pushes food towards the back of our mouth
esophagus the tube leading from the back of our mouth to our stomach
stomach the organ where digestive juices and churnin break down large food particles into smaller pieces
pancreas the organ that produces enzymes that help in digestion and also makes a substance that neutralizes stomach acid
chyme what we call food when it leaves the stomach
liver this organ makes bile
gallbladder the "sack" that holds extra bile
small intestine the organ that absorbs nutrients and puts them into the blood stream
