Scientific Method

Dependent Variable What you are measuring
Independent Variable The one thing you change in an experiment
Problem Issue that needs to be investigated
Control Group The group in the experiment that does not change, group you compare to.
Experimental Group The group in the experiment upon which changes are made
Scientific Method Process used to solve a problem
Conclusion A Summary of the data that either supports or not supports your hypothesis
Results/Data Data collected from an experiment
Theory A set of hypothesis have been repeatedly tested and supported by much evidence over time
Law A rule of Nature
