Simplified Biomolecules

Amino Acids, make up which biomolecule? Protein
Sugars, belong to which biomolecule? Carbohydrate
Fats, belong to which biomolecule? Lipids
Nucleic Acids Stores genetic information. Example: DNA or RNA
Carbohydrates Used as QUICK energy source. Examples: Breads, Pastas, and Sugars
Lipids Fats; Used for LONG term energy storage; Makes up the CELL MEMBRANE. Examples: oils, butter, hormones
Protein Helps to build MUSCLES; Amino Acids make up proteins. Examples: Meat, Beans, Eggs
Biomolecule Used by living things to carry out many different functions in the body.
