| Tundra | Cold ecosystems with a permafrost and short growing season |
| Taiga | Also known as Coniferous forest. Trees with needle leaves that are evergreen. Has harsh cold winters with precipitation as snow. |
| Grasslands | Characterized as an ecosystem with little to no trees mostly grasses. Has a dry season and tends to have frequent fires. |
| Desert | Dry environment that receives less than 10 inches of precipitation per year. Hot days and cold nights. |
| Tropical Rain Forest | Receives 200 cm of rain per year. High biodiversity. Dense vegetation. |
| Freshwater Biomes | No salt in water, includes streams, rivers, lake, and ponds. |
| Marine Biomes | 70% of Earth, salt in water, includes oceans, seas, coral reefs. |
