Grow and Develop All living things grow and get larger during their lives. Multicellular organisms undergo a process known as development, which requires changes in their cells.
Reproduce The ability to reproduce and pass genetic information onto their offspring. An organism can have one parent or two parents.
Obtain Energy Everything you do takes energy. Energy is the ability to change or move matter. The process of turning materials to energy is called metabolism
Cells Cells are the basic building blocks of life. They are like tiny factories where virtually all life processes take place. Some living things, are uni-cellular and some are multi-cellular
Response to stimuli When a living thing responds to its environment, it is responding to a stimulus. A stimulus (stimuli, plural) is something in the environment that causes a reaction in an organism. The reaction a stimulus produces is called a response.
Homeostasis the process of keeping your body’s internal environment stable/balance/constant
Has DNA *genetic code found in every cell inherited from parents and controls your traits.
Adapt and evolve An adaptation comes about because living things have the ability to change over time in response to the environment. A change in a character traits over time is called evolution.
