If the eyepiece of a microscope has a magnification of 10x and the objective lens you use magnifies the object by 4x. What is the total magnification? 40x
What is an independent variable? The variable that you change in the experiment
What is the difference between qualitative and quantitative data? Qualitative is the physical data that use the sense to observe. Quantitative is the numerical data that is recorded and measured.
What was wrong with Needham's experiment? He did not boil the water completely, and therefore did not kill all the bacteria
What are the 8 characteristics of life? Genetic code, growth/development, respond to stimuli, cellular organization, reproduction, homeostasis, obtain food/use energy, groups evolve over time.
