What are the 2 functions of the testes? To produce sperm and the hormone testosterone.
Where does the sperm go after it leaves the epididymis? Sperm goes to the vas deferens.
What happens to a sperm after it enters the female’s body? Once inside the female reproductive tract, the sperm cells must swim through the cervix and into the uterus to reach the fallopian tubes and female egg.
What are two reasons why semen (or seminal fluids) are important to the survival of the sperm? Help to keep the sperm cells viable and for motility
How long can sperm live in the females body? 5 days
Why does sperm have so much mitochondria? mitochondria supplies the energy needed for the sperm to perform its function of traveling to and later fertilizing the egg.
