advanced degree a graduate degree
job A group of homogeneous tasks related by similarity of functions

resume’ Formal presentation of a job applicant's education, skills, and work experience
cover letter Formal letter describing the accompanying documents and/or other items and the reasons for sending them
entrepreneur Someone who exercises initiative by organizing a venture to take benefit of an opportunity
salary Agreed-upon and regular compensation for employment that may be paid in any frequency
network Communicating with others to make connections for businesses
promotion The advancement of an employee's position within the organization

gross pay total pay a person receives
net pay The total revenue in an accounting period minus all expenses during the same period
form W-4 A tax form prepared by an employee for an employer indicating the employee's to determine the amount of taxes to be withheld for the employee.

Pretax The gross amount paid for a good or service before taxes are taken out
Allowances Amount deducted from an invoice as an incentive to compensate the buyer for an expense or mistake.
Social Security tax The amount taken from a contributor's earnings covers support for retired workers

Medicare tax this tax is calculated based on an employee's wages
