Gametofiton A spóra kialakulásától az ivarsejtképzésig tart (n).
Sporofiton Az ivarsejtek egyesülésétől a spóraképzésig tart (2n).
Archegónium Női jellegű gamétákat termelő gametangium.
Gametangium Ivarszerv; két típusa az archegónium és az anterídium.
Anterídium Hím jellegű gamétákat termelő gametangium.
