What is the function of Epithelial Tissue? Protection and regulation of materials that pass across body surfaces
How does surface area affect animal function? It effects the rate of diffusion, gas exchange, nutrient absorption and waste excretion
How does volume affect animal function? It effects the rate that nutrients are used and the rate that waste is made
Does a mouse or elephant have a bigger surface area relative to their volume? Mouse
What is metabolic rate? The overall rate of energy consumption of an organism
