Demographics of Papillary cystadenoma lymphomatous -second most common benign parotid tumor, accounting for 5% to 22% of all parotid neoplasms -Male:Female 10:1 -Over age 40
Microscopic features of Papillary cystadenoma lymphomatous -mixture of ductal epithelium within a lymphoid stroma -The lining epithelium demonstrates multiple papillary infoldings that protrude into the cystic spaces.
Differential diagnosis of Papillary cystadenoma lymphomatous -Pleomorphic adenoma - Lymphoma -Mucoepidermoid carcinoma
Treatment options for Papillary cystadenoma lymphomatous -Surgical removal -6-12% recurrence
Clinical features of Papillary cystadenoma lymphomatous ( continued) -the cause is unknown but it is highly associated with with patient that have cigarette smoking habits.
-Microscopic features of Papillary cystadenoma lymphomatous (continued) -The epithelium is supported by a lymphoid stroma that frequently shows germinal center formation - papillary cystic growth of oncocytic ducal cells in lymphoid stroma.
