denticulate ligaments are lateral extensions of pia mater that fuse with arachnoid mater and secure the spinal cord
gray matter area in the CNS and ganglia containing neuronal cell bodies, dendrites, unmyelinated axons, axon terminals and nurolglia
pons the part of the brain stem that forms a "bridge" between the medulla oblongata and the midbrain
anterior gray horn somatic motor neuron cells bodies are located here
posterior gray horn contain neuron cell bodies that receive impulses from sensory neurons
spinal nerve one of 31 pairs of nerves that orgignate on the spinal cord from posterior and anterior roots
cerebellum the part of the brain lying posterior to the medulla oblongata and pons
thalamus a large,oval structure located bilateraly on either side of the third ventricle-main relat center for sesory impulses ascending to the cerebral cortex
medulla oblongata the most inferior part of the brain stem
