| denticulate ligaments | are lateral extensions of pia mater that fuse with arachnoid mater and secure the spinal cord |
| gray matter | area in the CNS and ganglia containing neuronal cell bodies, dendrites, unmyelinated axons, axon terminals and nurolglia |
