| express | a train or bus that takes less time to do a journey than other trains or buses |
| carriage | any of the separate parts of a train in which the passengers sit |
| ferry | a boat or ship for taking passengers and often vehicles across an area of water, especially as a regular service |
| platform | a long, flat raised structure at a railway station, where people get on and off trains |
| cruise | a trip on a large ship for pleasure |
| departure lounge | the area in an airport where passengers wait before getting onto an aircraft |
| sail | used for boats, ships, etc. to mean that they are travelling on the water. |
| runway | a long, level piece of ground with a specially prepared smooth, hard surface on which aircraft take off and land |
| rail | one of the two metal bars attached to the ground on which trains travel |
