Active Transport Vocabulary

Properties of Active Transport (1) Requires energy (2) Particles move AGAINST the gradient from LOW to HIGH concentration
Protein Carrier Protein used to help move substances AGAINST the gradient
Sodium-Potassium Pump Pump used to push particles AGAINST the gradient in nerve cells
