carrier organism who genome contains a gene for a certain trait or disease that isn't expressed in the organism's phenotype
sex-linked gene gene that is located on the sex chromosome
X chromosome inactivation process that occurs in female mammals in which only one of the X chromosomes is randomly turned off in each cell
incomplete dominance heterozygous phenotype that is blend of the two homozygous phenotypes
co-dominance heterozygous genotype that equally expresses the trait for both alleles
polygenic trait trait that is produced by two or more genes
linkage map diagram that shows the relative locations of genes on a chromosome
pedigree chart of the genotypes and phenotypes in a family that is used to determine whether an individual is a carrier of a recessive allele
karyotype image of all the chromosomes in a cell
