Anaerobic The process does not require molecular oxygen.
ATP is considered by biologists to be the energy currency of life. It is the high-energy molecule that stores the energy we need to do just about everything we do.
Cellular respiration the energy-releasing process that takes place inside cells, involves the exchange of gases between the blood and tissue fluid and the cells.
Fermentation is an anaerobic process in which energy can be released from glucose even though oxygen is not available.
Glycolysis is the process in which one glucose molecule is broken down to form two molecules of pyruvic acid (also called pyruvate).
Mitochondria are known as the powerhouses of the cell. They are organelles that act like a digestive system which takes in nutrients, breaks them down, and creates energy rich molecules for the cell
