fermentation the process of fermentation involved in the making of beer, wine, and liquor, in which sugars are converted to ethyl alcohol.
glycolysis the breakdown of glucose by enzymes, releasing energy and pyruvic acid.
mitochondria the breakdown of glucose by enzymes, releasing energy and pyruvic acid.
