Describe the structure of DNA A polymer made up of nucleotides.
What makes a nucleotide? A nucleotide is made of a sugar and phosphate with one of four different bases attached to the sugar.
What are the four bases of DNA? A, T, C, G
What is the purpose of the bases? A sequence of three bases codes for an amino acid.
What forms the backbone of the DNA? alternating sugar and phosphate molecules
Which bases pair with each other? A and T / G and C
What do non coding sections of DNA do? Switch genes on and off
