| digestive system | breaks down food, absorbs nutrients |
| respiratory system | provides for gas exchange between air and the body |
| excretory/urinary system | removes solid liquid and wastes |
| female reproductive system | performs reproductive activities and behaviors; produces eggs and nourishes and shelters the unborn baby |
| nervous system | senses things in the environment and controls bodily activities |
| endocrine system | helps regulate metabolism, reproduction and other functions |
