Biotic (factor) living things in the environment
abiotic (factor) nonliving/ not alive things in the environment
Prokaryotic/Prokaryote- no nucleus
Eukaryotic/Eukaryote- has a nucleus

Respiration- a complex series of chemical reactions that releases energy for life activities

Reproduction- the production of new organisms

Nutrition- organisms obtain (get) and process food

Growth the increase in size and or cells in an organism
Metabolism- the sum total of all the life processes taking place in an organism
Homeostasis- the maintenance of a stable internal environment in spite of changes in the external environment
