What is the function of acrosome? contain chemicals which dissolves the egg membranes
What is the function of the tail? for swimming
What is testosterone? male sex hormone produced by the testes
What is an ovum? a mature egg
What is an oocyte an immature egg
What is the function of ovaries? to produce an egg and the hormones oestrogen and progesterone
What is the function of the fallopian tube? transport egg to the uterus
What is the function of the uterus? to hold the developing baby during pregnancy
What is the function of the endometrium? allows attachment of the embryo during pregnancy
What is the function of the cervix? Closes during pregnancy
What is the function of the vagina? to hold the penis during intercourse and act as the birth canal
