hypertension occurs when blood pressure is extremely high
pulmonary artery an artery that carries blood away from the heart to the lungs
pulmonary vein veins that carry blood from the lungs to the left side of the heart
semilunar valve valves located between the ventricle and their arteries
tricuspid valve the valve between the right atrium and right ventricle
valve flaps in the heart that keep blood flowing in one direction
vein a blood vessel that carries blood back to the heart
vena cava the largest vein in the body
ventricle the large bottom chambers of the heart
