compound a combination of two or more elements
response the reaction of a living thing to change
proton atom particle having a positive charge (+)
neutron atom particle having a neutral charge (0)
electron atom particle having a negative charge (-)
nucleus center of the atom composed of protons and neutrons
electron cloud area around the nucleus where electrons are most likely found
