Legal Compliance Follow federal, state, and local laws. Abide by Moral Turpitude.
Conduct with Students Maintain a professional relationship with all students. No sexual harassment and no providing alcohol or drugs to any students.
Alcohol and Drugs Shall not use illegal drugs or alcohol during working hours or at school relative events
Honesty Maintain honesty and integrity in the course of professional practice
Public Funds and Property If entrusted with funds and property, they shall honor that trust. No misusing public or school funds and no using school property without approval of the local BOE
Remunerative Conduct An educator shall maintain integrity when accepting gifts, gratuities, favors and additional compensation from anyone.
Confidential Information An educator shall follow confidentiality laws and keep personnel records confidential
Abandonment of Contract An educator shall follow their contract fully. Don't not show up for work.
Required Reports An educator shall file reports of a breach of one or more of the code of ethics standards
Professional Conduct An educator shall demonstrate conduct that follows generally recognized professional standards
Testing Administer state mandated assessments fairly and ethically. Do no give out test answers or information.
