Cytoplasm-what is it? Jelly like material containing dissolved nutrients,salts, organelles.
Cytoplasm-what happens here? Chemical reactions
Nucleus-what does it contain? Genetic material(DNA)
Nucleus-what does it do? Controls the cell activity
Cell membrane-what does it do Controls the movement of substances into and out of the cell.
Mitochondria-what is it Organelles that contain enzymes for respiration
Ribosomes-what is it A tiny organelle where protein synthesis takes place
Chloroplast-what is it? Organelle that contains chlorophyll
Chloroplast-what does it contain? Enzymes
Chlorophyll-what does it do? Absorbs light energy for photosynthesis
Cell wall-what is it made from? Cellulose fibres
Cell wall-what does it do? Strengthens the cell and supports the plant
Permanent Vacuole-what does it contain? Cell sap
Example of Eukaryotic cell? Plant/animal cells
Example of prokaryotic cell? Bacterial cell
What fits in the plant cell? Chloroplast cell wall permanent vacuole
What fits in the animal cell? Cytoplasm nucleus cell membrane mitochondria ribosomes
