Mitosis

QuestionAnswer
Daughter cells – the new cells made when a cell divides
Mitosis cell division, the daughter cells are identical to the parent cell
Cancer – uncontrolled cell division
Interphase – the period between cell divisions, chromosome replicate
Chromatid –chromosome
Prophase – nuclear membrane disappears.
Metaphase – chromosomes line up at the cell equator.
Anaphase – chromosomes separate.
Telophase – last stage of mitosis, two new cells form.
Cell Division – one cell splits into two cells
