Mitosis – cell division where each cell produced has the same DNA (body cell division)
Meiosis – cell division that produces sperm and egg. Only happens in the testes and ovaries
Zygote – fertilized egg
Fertilization – sperm and egg meet
embryo the baby for the first 8 weeks
fetus – the baby from week 8 to birth
birth canal – the vagina
differentiation – when the cells start to grow into all the different body cells
Gametes – sex cells
gestation – time when baby is developing
