Student Teaching Involved the placement of education students in public or private school classrooms to immerse themselves in the practice of teaching
Cooperating Teacher A classroom teacher who supervises and mentors the student teacher
Certified Teacher A teacher who has met the state requirements for teacher preparation
Teaching License A license or certificate a certified teacher receives from his or her state
Philosophy of Teaching A personal statement about your thoughts, views, and values as they relate to teaching.
Grants Money that is given for a specific purpose, such as educational expenses, that does not have to be paid back.
Reciprocal Agreements In teaching, agreement between states that allow teachers certified in one state to teach in the other.
Career Goal A clear, concise statement of what you want to become in life
Analogy A comparison of two unlike things for similarities.
Personal Portfolio An organized collection of materials and information that shows how personal knowledge, skills and attitudes have developed over time.
Artifacts Physical items that are part of a portfolio.
