Classification of Living Organisms

TermDefinition
Classification How an organism is identified, this being either traits, markings, or behavior.
Archaebacteria A single-celled organism.
Fungi Plural form of fungus, which is a plant-like organism.
Taxonomy The study that involves classifying organisms.
Eubacteria Bacteria that doesn't have a nucleus. Also known as true bacteria.
Plantae The kingdom that contains plants and related organisms.
Dichotomous Key The hierarchy that shows the animal kingdom.
Protista The kingdom that protists are in.
Animalia The kingdom that animals, or multicellular organisms are in.
