| predator | An animal that hunts another animal |
| prey | An animal that is hunter by another animal |
| producers | They make their own food for energy |
| consumers | Consumers are organisms that cannot make their own food |
| decomposers | They get their energy by breaking down wastes and dead organisms. |
| herbivores | These animals only eat plants. |
| carnivores | These animals only eat meat. |
| omnivores | These animals eat both plants and meat. |
| scavengers | They eat already dead animals. But they eat meat just like a carnivore. |
| food chain | This is a series of steps by which energy moves from one living thing to another. |
| food web | this is a diagram that combines different food chain into one picture. |
| Parasite | is an organism that lives on or inside of another organism |
| Symbiosis | A long term relationship between two different organisms. |
| Ecosystem | all the living and nonliving things in an area and their interactions |
