population growth

What are one of the effects that a growing population has on land? More crops needed, more housing needed, habitats destroyed in the process
What effect does population growth have on the economy? It increases amount of the unemployment
How may population grown effect medicine? There isn't enough to go around so not everyone can be treated.
What may this do to the cost spent on the NHS? The NHS will suffer because they can't afford all of the procedures needed by patients all year round.
What does this mean for hospitals? They will be a lot more crowded and will be short staffed meaning longer shifts for existing staff and people being forced out of their beds before they are ready.
What effect does growing population have on waste produced? There will be more waste produced and less places to put un-recyclables meaning more landfill around places where people live.
