Functions of skeletal system | The skeleton acts as a scaffold by providing support and protection for the soft tissues that make up the rest of the body. The skeletal system also provides attachment points for muscles to allow movements at the joints. |
Smooth Muscle | are usually in sheets, or layers, with one layer of muscle behind the other. |
Involuntary Muscle Action | it is something that we cannot control |
Voluntary Muscle Action | it is something that we can control |
Muscular Dystrophy | is a disease in which the muscles of the body get weaker and weaker and slowly stop working. |
Osteoporosis | it is when bones become brittle and fragile. |
Functions of muscular System | Each of these muscles is a discrete organ constructed of skeletal muscle tissue, blood vessels, tendons, and nerves. Muscle tissue is also found inside of the heart, digestive organs, and blood vessels. |
Fracture | cause something to break or break |
Artery | carry blood away from the heart. |
