Parts Of Speech

QuestionAnswer
Noun Person, Place, Thing or idea
Adjective describes a pronoun or noun; tells us what kind? Which one? How many?
Adverb describes a adjective, verb or another adverb; tells us where? when? or how.
Conjection a word that joins independent clauses or complete sentences.
Interjection a word or cry expressing sudden or strong feeling.
Preposition a word that connects with a noun or pronoun to form a phrase that usually expresses direction or time
Verb a word that shows action or a state of being. 3 types of Verbs: helping, linking, action.
Pronoun a word takes the place of a noun in a sentence.
