Cell membrane Controls what goes out and comes in to the cell, found in plant and animal cells
Cell wall The rigid outer layer of a plant cell
E.R Has passage ways to carry proteins and other materials from one part of a cell to another
Chloroplasts Captures energy from the sunlight and uses it to produce food in a plant cell
Vaccuoles Stores food, water, waste, and other matierials
Mitochondria Produces the energy that a cell needs to carry out its functions
Lysosomes Uses chemicals to break down food and warn down cell parts
Cytoplasm Gel like fluid where organelles can be found
Golgi bodies Receives proteins from the ER, packages them and distributes them
Ribesomes Assembles amino acids to create proteins
Nucleus Control center of the cell, contains DNA
Nucleolus found inside the nucleus, produces ribesomes
Chromatin Tiny strands inside the nucleus that contain the instructions for directing the cells functions
