What are organisms? living things
What is reproduction? the process by which organisms make offspring
What is photosynthesis? the process by which plants use the sun’s energy to make food from water and carbon dioxide
What is a cell? the basic building block of all living things
Name the 6 groups of living things. Plants, animals, bacteria, ancient bacteria, fungi, protists
What are the five life functions of all living things? grow, use food, wastes, reproduce, react to changes
What do plants need for photosynthesis? water, sunlight, oxygen
What are offspring? an animal's babies
How are mosses and ferns different from most plants? They reproduce with spores instead of seeds.
Plants can be classified into what two groups? vascular and nonvascular
