what is the umbilical cord ? it is a filter which passes nutrients, water and oxygen from the mother to the embryo and passes carbon dioxide and other waste products from the embryo to the mother
where is sperm produced ? testes
what is ovulation ? it is the production of Ovums
what happens on day 1-5 in the menstrual cycle ? if the woman is it pregnant the lining of the womb breaks down for the first 5 days or so and then is passed out of the body this is called menstruation
when is the fertile period ? days 11-15
what is the fertile period ? pregnancy is only possible during ovulation the sperm and only survive for 3 days in the female the eggs can only survive for one day after ovulation this all means that the woman is fertile for approximately fertile for 5 days
what is contraception ? is a practice or device that prevents fertilisation
