Photosynthesis

photosynthesis The process by which a cell captures energy from the sun to make glucose
autotroph (producer) An organism that makes it own food
heterotroph (consumer) An organism that cannot make its own food. Consumes other organisms for food.
chlorophyll The main photosynthetic pigment found in the chloroplasts of photosynthetic organisms
stomata Small openings in a leaf through which oxygen and carbon dioxide enter and exit the leaf
chloroplast Organelle that captures energy from the sun to produce glucose.
