DNA Deoxyribonucleic Acid. Contains information that determines the traits for living things.
Genes Segments of DNA found in chromosomes that give instructions for producing certain characteristics.
Chromosomes Structure in nucleus that is make of DNA and proteins.
Heredity Passing of genetic material from parent to offspring.
Dominant Always show up if one allele is present.
Recessive Hidden trait; only show if 2 are present
Allele Different versions of a gene
Homozygous Alleles that are the same
Heterozygous Alleles that are different
Genotype Makeup of your genes
Phenotype Traits you physically see
