Exposition | The background info at the beginning. |
Rising Action | The parts that lead up to the climax. |
Climax | The turning point in a story. |
Falling Action | The results of the climax. |
Resolution | The end of a story. |
Theme | The main idea. |
Setting | Where the story takes place. |
Dynamic | The character that changes in a story. |
Static | The character that stays the same in a story. |
Indirect | The writer reveals info about the character |
Direct | The writer tell us what the character is like |
Mood | The feeling of the story |
Tone | The author's attitude |
Author's Purpose | The goal the author aimed |
Allusion | A reference to a person |
Fact | Information |
Opinion | A belief |
Irony | Difference between what you believe and what is real |
Foreshadowing | Early clues about what will happen later in the story |
