| Term | Definition |

| Credit Card | a card that allows a person to buy something now and pay for it later. |
| Budget | a plan for spending money. |
| interest | money that a bank pays you for keeping your money in the bank. |
| safe-deposit box | a secure box at the bank for keeping special items. |
| fee | money charged for a service. |
| minimum balance | the smallest amount of money a person can keep in a bank account without having to pay a fee. |
| savings account | money that earns interest in a bank. |
| balance | the amount of money left in an account after the withdrawals are subtracted from the deposits. |
| check register | a booklet in a checkbook to keep tracks of checks and deposits. |
| ATM | a card that allows you to use an ATM. |
| deposit slip | a slip of paper you fill out to show how much you are putting into a bank account. |
| withdrawal slip | a slip of paper you fill out to show how much money you are taking out of a bank account. |
| deposit | money put into a bank account. |
| withdrawal | money taken out of a bank account. |
| PIN | a list of numbers you choose for your account |
