| Term | Definition |

| Budget | A plan for spending money. |
| Balance | The amount of money left in an account withdrawals are subtracted from the deposits. |
| ATM | A machine that lets you put money into a bank account or take money out. |
| Minimum balance | The smallest amount of a person can keep in a bank account without having to pay a fee. |
| Intrest | Money that a bank pays you for keeping your money in the bank. |
| Check register | A booklet in a checkbook to keep track of checks and deposits. |
| Credit card | A card that allows a person to buy something now and pay for it later. |
| Deposit slip | A slip of paper you fill out to show how much money you are putting into a back account. |
| Withdrawal slip | A slip of paper you fill out to show how much money you are putting into a back account. |
| PIN | A code that lets your ATM card work. |
| Savings account | Money that earns interest in a bank. |
| Fee | Money charged for a service. |
| Safe- deposit box | A secure box at the bank for keeping special items |
| Deposit | Money put into a bank account. |
| ATM card | A card that allows you to use an ATM. |
