TermDefinition
Plasma Membrane -The cell's outer membrane.
Cytoplasm -The region of the cell within the membrane that includes the fluid, the cytoskeleton, and all the organelles except the nucleolus.
Cytosol -The bursting of a cell.
Nucleus -A membrane bound organelle that contains the cells DNA and helps its growth, metabolism, and reproduction.
Prokaryote -A single celled organism that has no nucleolus and has no membrane-bound organelles.
Eukaryote -Organisms made up of one or more cells that have a nucleolus and membrane-bound organelles.
Organelle -One of the small bodies that are found in cytoplasm of a cell that perform a certain function .
Tissues -A group of similar cells and their products that carry out a specific function.
Organ -A collection of tissues that carry out a specialized function of the body.
Organ System -A group of Organs that accomplish related tasks.
