| What is asymmetrical balance? Example? | When parts of the design are not identical, but are equal in visual weight(ex.- A big lamp on one end table and a little lamp with two small picture frames) |
| What is the difference between horizontal and vertical lines? | Horizontal lines suggest informality and restfulness and lead the eye from left to right while vertical lines add more height, formality, and strength and lead the eye up |

| What is the difference between gradation and radiation? | Gradation is when one element of the design changes and radiation is when lines or designs move out from a center point |
