nucleus Within the nucleus is the DNA responsible for for providing unique characteristics.
ribosome Packets of RNA and protein are stored here
chloroplast Contain plant cells chlorophyll which is responsible for the plant absorbing sunlight and it’s green color.
cell membrane A protective barrier that controls the flow of water in and out of the cell.
cytoplasm A soup where most cell metabolism occurs which is mostly water
mitochondria Provides the energy a cell needs to do certain processes like move.
vacuole A vacuole is a membrane bound sack that controls getting rid of waste
rough ER Proteins collect in this for transport throughout the cell
Smooth ER Lipid and hormone synthesis , breakdown of lipid soluble toxins.
Lysosome Contains hydrolytic enzymes that help with intracellular digestion
Golgi Important for packaging macromolecules for transport throughout the cell
Cell wall Provides and maintains the shape of cells and is used as a protective barrier
