Food web a system of interlocking and interdependent food chains.
Food chain The series of processes by which food is grown or produced, sold, and eventually consumed.
Heterotroph An organism deriving its nutritional requirements.
Autotroph An organism that is able to form nutritional organic substances from simple inorganic substances such as carbon dioxide.
Decomposers Something that breaks down a chemical substance
Herbivore An animal that feeds on plants
Carnivore An animal that feeds on flesh
Omnivore An animal that eats food of both plant and animal orgin.
Abiotic Dead, not living
Biotic Living, has life
