Cells and Microscope

TermDefinition
Cells Are what living things are made up of.
Cell Wall Found outside the cell membrane in plant cell.
Nucleus The part of the cell that controls the cell activities.
Tissues A group of similar cells which carry out same function
An Organ A structure that contains two or more tissues working together
A system A number of organs working togerher
Microscope Is used to view objects which are too small to be seen with the naked eye
Eyepiece lens Magnifies the object
Focus knob Allows the image to be seen clearly
Nosepiece Allows the use of the different lenses located on the nose
Objective lens The objective lens are located on the nosepiece
Stage The slide is placed on the stage for viewing
Mirror Used to shine a light source through the slide.
